Toothpaste is good for drying out the odd big spot but if you have an ongoing problem the best thing to do is go to your doctors. They will prescribe a course of antibiotics or give you cream that will clear your face up and usually they will start to work within a couple of weeks. If it becomes an ongoing problem your doc can refer you to a dermatologist. Be careful with over the counter creams because using them can sometimes dry out your skin so much it starts producing more oil to compensate which leads to more spots!! If you can afford it a good facial at a salon helps to unblock pores and eliminate blackheads and using skincare products such as dermalogica or simple that are very gentle will also help. Remember the cause of most spots is hormones and they usually sort themselves out in time!!
If you apply toothpaste at night and wash it off in the morning, you can't notice it.
