well... i have tried proactiv like 3 times and it does not work... it works for the first week, maybe, and then it just kinda stops working... if you dont use it every single day twice a day, it makes your skin 10 times worse than before.





also, you may not have acne. if you dont have ';acne'; you may just have oily skin or something. i dont techinically have acne which may be why it doesnt work on me... what i use is products with salicylic acid. you should get the cheap stuff at the drugstore or walmart. its cheaper and works wayyy better.

Proactiv does work, however the active ingredients are designed to only treat the surface when the problem is most likely under the skin. I know of an EXCELLENT product that is VERY comparable to Proactiv that contains ingredients that treat underneath the skin. It works well enough if you make sure to use it twice a day, religiously. You CANNOT forget for even a day, or it will come back with a vengance.
It worked for me when I was a teen for the first year. Then my skin became used to it and it no longer worked.

Look, no one is perfect. Granted, genes make some people look like pepperoni pizzas whilst other look like they stepped off the cover of ';Vogue';, but its not your fault you have pimples. Check your habits. Do you prop up your chin with your hands? Thats asking for chin zits. Clean your specs often so you won't get pimples on the bridge of your nose.





Don't pop them! If you want them to go away, make a paste of baking soda and water and dab it on the zit, then go to sleep. In the morning it should be dried up. Also, toothpaste or honey works for some people, but its not recommended.





Every other day, use normal table salt and water to wash your face. The salt will scratch the dead skin off your face, and help prevent pimples. Don't scrub too hard, or it'll hurt.

i had acne VERY badly but now it has subsided due to good skin care. i still get breakouts if i stop taking good care of my face.





heres my daily facial routine.


wake up--


1:wash face with a gentle oil free face wash use as warm of water as you can.


2: splash my face with COLD water for 30 seconds to snap my pores shut!


3: apply a very gentle OIL FREE face lotion.


only use this if you think your skin is drying out to much.


4: then i apply a little bit of make up to cover my red splotches.





night time---


1: wash you face with the gentle cleanser


2: use a astringent if you want to


3: Exfoliate your face with granulated sugar and lemon juice.


(the sugar exfoliates and the lemon juice makes you skin soft)





other face care:


1:if you can splash your face with cold water several times a day


2:once a week run crisco and olive oil all over your face and let it soak in... wash it off so it dont cloge poes. (this makes you skin baby butt soft)


3: eat less oils. e.g. french fries other deep fried foods. basically dont eat fast food.


4: if you put a towel over your pillow when you sleep this helps... (it soaks up oils in your face instead of smearing them)


5: for the ones you have put ice then for about a minute a piece.--%26gt; before bed GOB neosporine on them--%26gt;when you wake up ice them some more...

1. Yes, life would be SO much easier without them.


2. Depends on the pimple/zit. If it's a white head (small and clearly white) then yes, pop them. If it's an actual zit (large, red, round) then don't unless it's white at the top and it pops easily (sorry for the image). If it's a black head (black dot on your skin, doesn't poke out it just lays there) then you can try squeezing them and puss with a black tip will come out (once more, sorry for the image) but some people just get more blackheads when they do that, but others (like myself) don't, the effects just don't last very long and before you know it their back to how they used to be.


3. Get a face cleanser, any kind it doesn't matter, and use it every morning before going to school or just right when you get up and every night before you go to bed.
You would think it would help to get all that **** out of there but I have been told it doesnt. I'm not sure. Just go to a doctor and ask, while getting some medication or creme.

My kitten pants and has what looks like zits. Is this normal?

He is 4 months old and whenever he runs, he pants like a dog. He also has something that looks like zits on his belly area. I know they are not his nipples as they are in clusters like a rash almost. They are not inflammed or bothering him. Ive had cats all my life and have never seen these things before in a cat. Are they normal?





He is a long haired cat. Very sweet. Im wondering if this could be a heat rash of sorts but like I said, the zits are not red or inflammed.

Since your cat is so young, I don't think that would be the issue. Possibly allergies, or he is allowing himself to get overheated. Does he go outside? With all the heat that could be the problem. If he's inside make sure the room is a comfortable temp and he has lots of water. If it happens frequently I would bring him to the vet.

Why not take him to the vet to be sure? It could be allergies, but personally, I'd spend the $25-$40 for peace of mind to make sure that he's ok.

if your kitten is panting, take him to the vet!! there are a variety of possibilities, and i don't know if the rash is related. but no cat should ever pant from exercise. mom cats pant in labor, and cats will pant when they are overheated. otherwise, this is a sign that for some reason your cat is not getting enough oxygen when he runs. possible causes include asthma, congenital heart defects and congestive heart failure, to name a few. good luck.

If you shave, make sure you pull the skin tight around where you're shaving, and use soap/shaving cream if you can. Or you can wax if your skin isn't too sensitive for that. Also, lay a warm wet towel down there for a couple minutes once you're done. I don't really remember what this does but it helps with the pores and the hair in them.
I am not sure that it is zits. I would go to another doctor, a dermatologist and get another opinion of what it is.


Get some Neosporin cream and put it on all over the area twice a day and do not shave down there. Use dove sensitive skin soap and shower it off every day. Then put the Neosporin on.
Get more than one opinion to DEFINITELY make sure it's not herpes. If a couple more doctor's all agree on the same diagnosis, then follow doc's orders...
sounds like ur shaving or waxing.. If u are thats cuz of it. u should stop or just use those ingrown creams after u shave. that might help.
You should not pop zits. Do what your doctor said and leave it alone.
You went to a female doctor and she said. Ok did she test you for herpes do not just take her word. Have this doctor test you just to make sure. Also get some over the counter antifungal cream and apply this around the sore area.
