im spanish so i get dark easily and ive heard that these dark spots affect darker people more.... what can i do to prevent and get rid of the ones i already have???I have little dark spots left from zits and was wondering what i could do to make them fade or go away?
If you don't do something now, the spots will go darker because the skin is constantly producing melanin which makes the dark pigments on our skin . You can suppress the production of melanin using papaya kojic and licorice base soap and cream which are available online. These work wonders.

I know its annoying, but they may fade with time. In the meantime you can use makeup to cover it up.
You can try putting vitamin E oil on the dark spots as Vitamin E helps the skin heal.
Your best bet would be going to the dermatologist. In most cases they can prescribe something that will help.
try a mild skin lightening soap (black licorice soap) and/or dermaline skin whitening cream for dark skin spots.

ok, this product isn't expensive, it's just as good as proactive, it dosen't dry out ur skin, and u can find it at ur local drugstore. it's neutrogena clean pore cleanser/mask. it has benzoyl peoxide, but only 3.5%, so it won't dry out ur skin. when i use it my pimple is gone in, at most 1/2 an hour! i promise! i have annoying pimples and blackheads on my nose and in like 10 min. they're all gone. just try it it's only about $8 compared to proactive and it comes in a white 4oz. tube. i swear by this product!! well, good luck nd hope i helped!!!!!!I get zits, What is the best brand of acne cream to use?

(use bar soap if you can; liquid if that's all you have around); they're gone the next day. be careful though; i tried it and it burned--literally burned--my skin, and it hurt for several days. but my skin is really sensitive, and he never has a problem. personally, i found that toothpaste doesn't work, but that's just me. good luck.

Drink plenty of water for the reason that it helps skin to stay hydrated. Usually acne results from the skin being too oily and plus the fact that you are still young(i am assuming). Some creams and a healthy diet would be a tremendous boost for you to overcoming oily skin. Outside of just being young, a healthy diet i feel is the most important thing.
seriously, this worked for me when i was in middle school i had terrible pimples but then i started running track and field seriously and pumpin iron and they seemed to just go away. you need to sweat (gets rid of all the poison in skin) and wash face twice daily. this is what worked gr8 4 me! :)

I washed my face and my zits got worse?
i used clean and clear acne advantage kit with the cleanser, moisturizer, and spot control and now a few hours later the zits that were barely visible now are very noticeable. why did this happen and how do i make them go away?I washed my face and my zits got worse?
You could have an allergic reaction to it! But when I first started using the same soap, It took my skin a while to get used to it. (Usually about a week or two)I washed my face and my zits got worse?
Get the book Breaking Out by Lydia Preston to understand the ingredients in acne medications and how they work on the skin.
The Acne Control Cleanser contains 10% benzoyl peroxide as the active ingredient. The Acne Control Moisturizer is an oil-free moisturizer that contains .5% salicylic acid. The Fast-Clearing Spot Treatment is a formulation with 2% salicylic acid.
BP kills the p.acnes bacteria that cause spots and salicylic is an exfoliant and can reduce swelling. Personally I would choose a pH balanced, gentle cleanser that contains only inert ingredients, i.e. those that are not acne medications, and an oil-free moisturiser that contains only inert ingredients. I would then choose a separate 2.5% benzoyl peroxide product to apply once a day and perhaps a separate 2% salicylic acid product to use once day, but not at the same time as the benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl peroxide can be extremely harsh on your skin - it is literally bleach - and you may be having a reaction to salicylic acid.
Get the book for all the info you need on over the counter acne medications.

But I Bought That Same Kit And Had the Same Reaction I Kept Using But It Made My Face Worse In My Opinion .I Threw Out 3 Boxes But Kept The Spot Treatment I Love It.Experience

i used clarus its a 6 month therapy and i have NO ZITS except for razor brun and ingrown hairs so ya be happy with that.
tetracycline might clear you up too :)
I almost got that kit... but I didn't when I saw that the cleanser has mineral oil in it. I know it's debatable whether it causes problems or not, but I'm not willing to take chances.

I know only one of the 5 Walgreens in my area carries it! You may want to go to a dermatologist and get something that'll get rid of your acne once and for all.
